All I wanted was a bigger refrigerator...

But what I got was a complete appliance and mini cabinet makeover. As you can see from the before picture, my refrigerator was pretty small. I've been wanting a bigger refrigerator for quite awhile, but we knew that the cabinet above and beside the refrigerator would need to be rebuilt to accommodate a larger one. Since our cabinets were built 26 years ago, we were very sceptical if they could find the same type of materials. To our surprise, they did. So as I said, I started out wanting a refrigerator, but since the space would have to be made bigger, that meant the cabinet on the side had to be made smaller. Guess what?...the microwave would no longer fit...oh well, it was old anyway. So, I started looking for a microwave hood range. The only one I found that I really liked was in stainless steel...you got it, it looked bad with the almond range....oh well, it was kinda old anyway. So thanks to the wonderful husband that I have, he let me get all three matching appliances. To finish the makeover, I have ordered new hinges and pulls for the doors and drawers. I'll post a final picture when it is totally complete.
